Contain swine flu outbreak: UML to health minister

KATHMANDU, APR 15 - CPN-UML has asked Health Minister Khagaraj Adhikari to take all measures necessary to contain swine flu outbreak in Jajarkot. Surya Thapa, UML deputy chief of Publicity and Publication Department, said on Wednesday that Adhikari, who represents UML in the NC-led coalition government, was summoned by the party office to inquire about the situation in Jajarkot. Adhikari was accompanied by Shanta Bahadur Shrestha, health secretary, and Senendra Raj Uprety, the chief of Health Services Department. Health Minister Adhikari informed the party that the government has deployed sufficient health workers and medicines in swine flu-affected villages in Jajarkot. Meanwhile, UML has directed its local committee in Jajarkot to lend necessary assistance to combat swine flu outbreak in the district.
